Yayoi Kusama Collection

Being an artist myself, my inspiration for this collection was the therapeutic aspect of art. I dove deeper into artist Yayoi Kusama's life and learned about her using art as an escape from her traumatic past.

The shapes and bright colors on each shoe were drawn from Kusama's work. (Note that the color way names are titles of her art pieces!) The reflective mirror pieces are a nod to Kusama's mirror rooms as well as her love of repetition. Small iridescent details were drawn from WGSN's Spring 2021 GameScape concept.
